Just a little bit about me.......
Hey all,
You've stumbled upon my little corner of the digital universe. Thanks for visting. I always highly appreciate me. Since you've clicked on the link to get to know about me, I guess I'll tell you a little something.
Name?:
Ilse (that's with an "i" in the beginning!)
Location?:
Netherlands (in the South)
Age?:
Do you really want to know?.... this varies
Occupation?:
Traffic Engineer, Director/Shopowner, "Author", and all other things I'd like to become
Interests?:
Scrapbooking, Photography, Reading, writing stories, Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Lost, CSI (all versions) and a lot more!
Why Scrapbooking?:
For me it is slowly becoming a way to live. Scrapbooking is not only a good way to keep your photos in an excellent condition, but it is also, and that is soooo much more important, a way to preserve your memories. It's not just the picture itself that counts, but also what's on it, who's on it, why you took that picture, how you felt about the subject, and so many more things. By scrapping your photos you will still know in about ten years why this was all so important. And although these digital journals are getting widely spread, I think scrapping is very important too. You can show your albums to family and friends, you can give it as a present to soemone, you can keep it for your children, so that they will have a wonderful memory when they're old enough to appreciate it,..... The possibilities are endless. You don't have to be creative to begin with it. It's all up to you how complicated or easy you make all the pages. Just remeber the 5 "W's" and the "H" and don't forget to include your feelings and thoughts. It may take some time before you scrapped all your photos, but it is certainly worthwhile. To me it is anyway and that's why I'll keep on scrapping. No matter what.
Any other sites before this one?:
I have had many other sites. I started out using Yahoo with the instant builder, years before now. I gradually did more and more myself, until I learned programming sites on my own. I have had sites about fandoms for a very long time, including a fanfiction archive. Due to the fact that I had to maintain it almost entirely on my own, I decided to quit the fandom sites and the fanfiction archive. It's just not doable. Maybe I'll start a fanfiction archive here later on, but this archive will host only my own stories and not those of others. There are many very good archives out there for them!
Fandoms?:
Well, I have been a fan of a variety of television series, resulting in being the head of a fanclub for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel here in the Netherlands. I just like those series. You can see the story and characters develope and it was something I could imagine. I have a lot more series I like and books to.
"Author"?:
Well, I always wanted to write stories and I've started my own original story which will probably never turn into a book, but you never know. Maybe I'll just get very good inspiration and I'll start writing like J. K. Rowling or J. R. Tolkien or one of those other great authors. I'm not excluding anything.
Any other dreams?:
Well, I'd like to be a multi-millionaire. Wouldn't it be great to have so much money that you can buy just anything you'd like? And also be able to help good causes? I'd like it very much. I also dream of having a Scrapbook shop in "Brick & Morter". If that's ever gonna happen.... I don't know. I can dream, can't I?
Well, if you'd like to know anything more, just leave your comment and I'll try to include it!
