Happy Easter! & How to spend it!
Hey all,
I want to wish you all a happy Easter! I'm a religious person, as you might know. So the religious goal and history is not my peace of cake. But I do like the idea that this is some kind of beginning of Spring. It's all nice and things are starting to become colorful! That's another way to look at it, I guess.
How we spend this Easter Sunday
Since we don't have any children (or nephews or nieces) we don't have to hide easter eggs. Up until a few years ago I did buy Easter eggs for our parents and my brother as a treat, but since they're not all eating them I thought this was in a way a waste of time and money. So, instead of celebrating Easter with the traditional Easter Eggs (hunt), we invited my parents for diner last night and today we just did nothing. It's so wonderful to just do nothing for one day! We slept in, we had breakfast (well, what else should you do?) and then we just did more or less nothing. James took a nap at the couch and I have sat in the garden, next to the pond. I love watching the pond. You'd think at first it's something static, but it's soooo not! Just look at the fish, the frogs (we have a few new ones this year again!!!) and all the little organism and you know the pond is filled with life. And it's not the same for a few minutes. When you keep watching you'll see something new regularly. You see the fish doing crazy stuff, like eating with four of them on one spot (can't they spread out in the pond?), frogs popping up (trying to figure out if it's safe to bathe in the sun, perhaps), little bugs, flies and more. It's so full of life! I can spend hours watching the pond. And mind you, I didn't have the waterfall activated either!
So, it was a wonderful Sunday today! Let's hope the weather tomorrow is as good as it was today!
Talk to you later!
